Yes, you read that correctly. The Pope now has a Facebook application in which you can send a postcard to your friends on Facebook. The postcard features a picture of the Pope -- usually comforting someone on one of his trips -- and words of wisdom from the Pontiff.
The application is part of a new website directed at young people, which is found at http://www.pope2you.net/. The website includes links to an iPhone application, the Vatican channel on YouTube, and a wiki of the Pope's messages to young people.
The site looks like it would be a lot of fun, especially if you have children who are beginning to spend a lot of their free time online.
